Wednesday Dec 13 - Thursday Dec 14

We left Sydney at 5:30am for our 7:10am flight to Hobart - most fortunately our upgrade came through (Dieter bid for it without telling me) so we travelled in relative comfort and had a hot brekkie. We arrived at our hotel in Hobart, The Movenpick, around 9:30am but were not able to check-in. We left our luggage and walked around and finally got to our room around 11am. After a quick settle in we walked back to the waterfront and stopped at a pub for a quick lunch - which was not so quick as our shared burger took about 45 minutes to arrive.

We had a pretty reasonable dinner at the hotel's restaurant - even better with Accor half-price dining. 

The following morning , Thursday Dec 14 was embarcation day. We pretty much dagged around (Dieter was a bit under the weather) - and finally boarded at 3:30pm - we were not impressed with the organisation. Ponant did not even have a sign in terminal or a bag drop facility. 

We settled into our cabin - there was lots of cupboard space but the cabin was very small - we had happy and dinner and off to bed.
