A sea day after the original first port (Port Davey) was cancelled as according to Ponant they were not given permission to land - apparently the same thing happened the previous year yet Ponant still advertised this port of call.

The day started with an expedition briefing (for us old hands a zodiacs with was not really necessary but attendance was required). 

There were a couple of other presenations, the most useful being an iPhone camera workshop - I learned a few things; Dieter said he already knw them. There was lots of time left for eating and drinking.

Overall the weather was gloomy with rai showers and rough seas.
